About
Welcome to the delightful world of **98 K Hamburger**! Nestled in the bustling heart of Brooklyn, New York, this vibrant eatery has carved a niche for itself in the ever-evolving burger scene. Known for its tantalizing offerings and charming atmosphere, 98 K Hamburger is sure to satisfy your cravings, blending fast food convenience with gourmet flair.
As a food reviewer for Foodjoyy, I'm thrilled to introduce this gem, particularly for burger enthusiasts seeking something beyond the ordinary. With a menu dominated by **juicy chicken thigh burgers**, such as the Crispy Chicken Thigh Burger and the specialized Old Beijing Chicken Thigh Burger, there's no shortage of flavor and texture to excite your palate.
One standout aspect of 98 K Hamburger is its dedication to making everything fresh. This results in a longer wait time but rewards diners with truly juicy and succulent chicken that shines in every bite. Past patrons have likened the experience to that of savoring dishes from iconic chains like KFC in China. The reviews consistently highlight the restaurant's commitment to deliciousness, particularly with their famed chicken thigh burgers.
In addition to delectable food, 98 K Hamburger offers various utilities, from takeout and delivery options to a cozy space with street parking. You can even enjoy refreshing milk teas, including flavors like Pearl Milk Tea and Coconut Milk Tea, adding a unique twist to your meal.
While 98 K Hamburger embraces a casual vibe reminiscent of youthful gatherings, it's essential to note that they still have a unique identity that stands out on the Brooklyn food scene. Patrons have pointed out a quirky juxtaposition in decor that, although playful, suggests a need for clearer branding. However, this duality in ambiance intrigues many and complements the adventurous spirit of its menu.
In conclusion, whether you're nostalgic for a comforting burger, craving crispy chicken, or eager to sip on a delightful milk tea, **98 K Hamburger** is a must-visit spot. The dedication to flavor, freshness, and affordability is clear in every bite—and while the restaurant's identity may still be evolving, the food consistently steals the show. Don't miss out on this one-of-a-kind burger experience in Brooklyn!
“ Chicken was super juicy. One downside is that you have either pay for the dipping sauces, but I don't mind since I think they make it themselves. Would definitely recommend. Chicken is made fresh so there is a little wait. ”
“ It's Nov. 7th 2023. It's been closed for a few months now. When you going to open back up? I'm missing the great customer service and the chicken thigh burger. ”
“ My go-to spot for a nice chicken burger. I have yet to find a place that beats them in the chicken burger game. I'm not a big fan of chicken breast so it was very nice to see a burger using a juicy chicken thigh instead. All the Chinese people I know that have tried this place, compares it to the kfc in China, which is phenomenal. My husband is in love with their spicy chicken wings and would crave it all the time. The spice a nice slow burn. I always recommend this place to people and they're never disappointed! I've tried their regular fried chicken but I can't eat I'm a fan. I still prefer popeyes for those. ”
“ Absolutely amazing chicken wraps!! After trying the spicy crispy chicken wrap at their Elmhurst location a while back, I've been raving about it constantly; and seemingly having had enough of me and my nonstop chatter, my sister offered to stop by and pick up another wrap. And well, of course, I said yes. I mean, what do you think I am - an idiot? I'd be a fool to say no! This time I tried their thai style chicken wrap, which was just as good, if not a bit too wet. The chicken was juicy and flavorful and it paired nicely with the thai sweet chili sauce and the lettuce inside, but there was just so much sauce. The wrap was literally dripping with juices and it made what should have been a very easy and convenient-to-eat wrap, very messy and difficult. Overall, still highly recommend it, but definitely tone down on the sauce! ”
“ I'm finding it hard to put together words that describe this restaurant in full. And I think it's because 98K hasn't quite figured themselves out either. So: identity crisis. Consider this review my baby project, cause there are definitely items that I'm coming back for! So far, I've had the chicken thigh burger and their actual hamburger. What this restaurant technically falls under is something called an "Aspirational Restaurant". It's when a restaurant aspires to present a cuisine without entirely knowing what it is. It's a chain, so they're doing something right. Case in point: the banner in the back of a hamburger, lol looks like someone drew it without ever seeing a hamburger. It's out of place considering how polished the rest of restaurant is. The logo by the registered is highlighted by an excessive backlight. Very typical Chinese cafe decor aimed at teenagers but I think it's tacky and they can do better. The artwork on the right wall is very specific to gaming culture, whereas the photos on the left look like they could've been commissioned by an artist. There's a duality to the vibe but it definitely encompasses young adult. The restaurant is clean, it's great; these are just fun observations because-- the food is tight. I don't think China had a word for sandwiches, so they're using "burger" as a replacement. The actual burger is a prepackaged cafeteria failure, please don't get it (it's obligatorily on the menu). Get the chicken thigh sandwich (I mean burger) instead. There isn't a signature blend of seasonings or anything but you're getting plump, juice filled thighs for $5. Chinese chicken sandwiches has a real emphasis on juicy! Alright, I'll be back after I eat more items but I will leave with a note that while dining in, it was very reminiscent of when you and your buddies would hang afterschool in restaurant for cheap eats and a quick bite. ”
